Healthy Move Class Beginning September 1st
Preparations are underway for the Healthy Move Class starting September 1. This class is an opportunity for strangers to become good friends. Whether you are a newcomer to the Village or have been here a while you are welcome to attend the class. The Healthy Move Class is designed to help women meet the emotional, spiritual, social and physical health needs associated with transitioning into a new community. The class looks at these issues from a biblical perspective.
Jane Weston will be teaching from the Healthy Move Manual, written by Ruth Neal to share her experience as a new member of the the Hot Springs Village community. Kay Neal will acquaint the class with the Village and review upcoming events and area attractions. Sandra Gross will guide fellowship and spiritual development. Field trips to a variety of restaurants and area attractions occur each week after class.
In the Healthy Move Class, you will find a source of support and other ladies who share your concerns in an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. The eight previous classes, totaling over one hundred ladies, still meet for social gatherings, prayer groups, Bible study, or to volunteer together. Many past members say that they met their best friends in the Healthy Move Class. The class was their introduction to Hot Springs Village and made them feel connected to the community.
All women in the village are welcome to attend this 12-week class beginning September 1, 2010. Classes are held Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Village Bible Church, located at 100 Ponderosa Way. Lunch and a field trips are planned for those who wish to stay after class time. There is no cost and no homework for the class. To register and have your questions answered contact Donna Wetzel (922-5936) or Kitty Brasswell (922-5676).
